zenmushroom says:

Today I am currently an Eclectic Pagan who attends a Unitarian Universalist Church. I grew up in a religiously mixed family. Mom was Catholic, Dad was Buddhist and Step Mom was Jewish. Most of my religious instruction was Catholic up until I was about 13. We were CEO Catholics, meaning Christmas and Easter Only Catholics. Yet at 13 I realized that the conservative bent of the religion, along with homophobia was not for me. I became a Pagan because of its deep connections with nature. I like my current Unitarian Universalist church because there is a strong sense of social justice, community and fellowship. I have had some strong spiritual experiences in my life. One experience in particular I had a vision of blue fire and heard the voice of God. God told me not to drink alcohol or have pre-marital sex. I have not done these things sense I had this experience.
