Flyvapnet says: My interest in matters of belief, faith and spirituality has dwindled to zero over the decades. Mind, I once thought of such things as fascinating areas of study; and I even took a three-term class titled "Bible and Civilization" from Jack T. Sanders (now Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at my alma mater the University of Oregon) back in the day.
But I've long since acknowledged my lack of what's popularly termed either "belief" or "faith": It's my personal disengagement from dogma, which began after I returned from the Second Indochina War. "Hope" is something I understand, because it's basically optimism; but I've no idea what "belief" encompasses nor what "faith" entails. Plus, I've come to seriously dislike Abrahamic religions.
