Here's a little taste. My Parent were both heroin addicts so my mom abandoned my 2 sisters and I when I was 7. My fathers parents took us in and are hardcore sda! We went from no structure in life to a complete "cult" like environment. We became strict vegeterians, went to church 4-5 week, read the bible daily...My oldest sister at the time (13yrs old) was sent away because she wasn't my dad's "legitimate" child, but when she left she said as soon as she turned 18 she would send to get us. And she did. She dropped out of school at 16 got her GED, worked 2 jobs got an apt and sent for us for "vacation". we never went back. One of the things we had to do was read 3 chapters a day and 5 on Saturdays on the bible. We would get quizzed by my grandfather....I hated it. But I am grateful, even at 8yrs old after my first completion (reading the bible) I became an atheist. it opened my eyes to seek reason and here I am.
